About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build and improve engineering capabilities used across the development organisation
- Create tooling, automation and platform capabilities that make software delivery faster, safer and easier
- Work with CI/CD and deployment automation
- Develop engineering tooling and platform services
- Work with containers and Kubernetes-based environments
- Implement Infrastructure as Code
- Support automated testing, quality and security controls
- Contribute to standardisation and self-service for development teams
- Explore AI-assisted and agentic software engineering
- Help integrate AI coding agents, structured specifications, automated testing and engineering guardrails into the software development lifecycle
- Experiment, learn and help shape how these technologies are used across the organisation
- Collaborate with development teams and other engineers
Requirements
What you’ll need- Recent graduate or up to a few years of professional experience
- Technical university degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering Physics or a similar field
- Technical curiosity, problem-solving ability, solid technical foundation and strong motivation to learn
- Interest in programming and solving technical problems
- Curiosity about modern software delivery
- Interest in automation and reducing repetitive manual work
- Willingness to experiment with new technologies and approaches
- Interest in understanding engineering platforms at scale
- Ability and willingness to collaborate with developers and other engineers
- Experience may come from university projects, a thesis, internships, open-source contributions, personal technical projects or previous employment
- Familiarity with C#, Python, GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes, Linux or Terraform is an advantage, but not required
- Final candidates undergo background checks, including identity control, qualification verification, credit checks, company engagements and criminal records checks
- Must be willing to undergo random drug checks
