About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own agile delivery governance across Sedex’s Product, Design and Technology Department
  • Lead and line-manage five Agile Delivery Managers
  • Oversee monthly timesheet submission, escalation, and approval processes
  • Reconcile actual spend against forecasts and ensure budget alignment with roadmap commitments
  • Initiate approval processes for budget overruns
  • Produce Finance Control, Operations, and executive reports
  • Own formal investment approval and business-casing processes for significant spend
  • Run weekly ADM team meetings, 1:1s, delivery retrospectives, and team sessions
  • Adjust Jira configurations and delivery metrics with Delivery Managers and pods
  • Collect, manage, and automate PDT delivery metrics
  • Ensure flow and DORA metrics feed consistently into governance and Board reporting
  • Manage delivery exception cases and organisational changes affecting pods
  • Own biweekly delivery status meetings and escalate delivery risks and issues
  • Organise PDT all-hands and coordinate Hackathon planning and logistics
  • Design and evolve Board packs based on delivery data and governance reports
  • Report to the Chief Product and Technology Officer

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience in software product engineering environments
  • Strong, practical grounding in Agile ways of working and Agile principles
  • Proven ability to coordinate people, teams, and workstreams outside direct line of control
  • Experience operating governance and operating models, including business casing, investment approval, Board reporting, or similar financial control processes
  • Direct line management experience, ideally managing Delivery Managers, Scrum Masters, or Agile Coaches
  • Financial acumen, including budget forecasting, reconciliation, and variance analysis
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and confidence presenting delivery status and financial health at senior and Board level
  • Practical experience with Jira or an equivalent tool for delivery metrics, governance, and reporting
  • Comfort working through evolving process and operating-model changes
