About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support Sedex Members in embedding Sedex into their ethical sourcing processes
Support supplier onboarding, audit management, and act as an interface between Sedex and Sedex Members
Perform regular supplier data matching to identify outstanding registration, linking, and Self-assessment Questionnaire actions
Conduct risk assessments and prioritise suppliers to inform onboarding strategy
Review responsible sourcing processes, including Codes of Conduct
Develop Standard Operating Procedures and an Implementation and Monitoring Framework
Draft communications to suppliers about projects and ethical requirements
Identify suppliers in scope for audits and contact them to register, activate accounts, complete Self-assessment Questionnaires, and establish supply-chain links and visibility
Lead audit booking and audit-report visibility on Sedex
Review and assess audit results against clients’ assessment and grading criteria
Analyse supplier audit and non-compliance data
Lead post-audit compliance processes, including timely closure of non-compliances and derogation processes where necessary
Prepare regular KPI and progress reports, highlighting actions required from internal teams and suppliers
Engage internal teams on supplier onboarding and escalation processes
Maintain accurate supplier links in Sedex Members’ accounts and remove outdated links
Identify and report Sedex system issues affecting Members and suppliers to the Product team
Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including Helpdesk, PMO, Supplier Engagement, Account Management, Product, and regional teams

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, formulas, VLOOKUP, and data matching
Experience with Power BI
Knowledge of ethical audits, including SMETA Audits, ETI Base Code, and alternative ethical audit methodologies
Experience with the Sedex platform and reporting
Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Previous experience in customer-facing roles
Experience engaging with internal and external stakeholders, including buyers, technical managers, and auditors
Experience collaborating with suppliers and understanding their ethical requirements
Experience engaging with internal buyers and regional teams
Multicultural communication and interpretation across different cultural contexts
Problem-solving approach
Ability to multitask and liaise with multiple stakeholders simultaneously
