About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design and build Seeq’s internal platform infrastructure and services used by engineering teams to deploy and operate software products
  • Collaborate with product management and engineers to architect and implement robust, secure platform components
  • Provide common services and capabilities that enable application teams to focus on customer innovation
  • Evolve interfaces between systems
  • Optimize infrastructure
  • Migrate existing functionality to new services and infrastructure

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including significant experience building platform services, infrastructure, or distributed systems
  • Proficiency in backend technologies, including Go or Python
  • Proficiency with infrastructure as code systems such as Terraform, OpenTofu, or Pulumi
  • Deep understanding of AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Deep understanding of distributed systems including Kubernetes
  • Deep understanding of microservice architectures
  • Experience building scalable, reliable platforms supporting data-intensive applications
  • Expertise in infrastructure development and configuration, software delivery, and integrating security practices in platform development
  • Strong background in system architecture, production system migration, and infrastructure cost and performance optimization
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills, with experience guiding engineering teams
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional and remote environments
  • Passion for continuous improvement and modern methodologies such as Agile and CI/CD
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Must be authorized to work in the country in which you reside
