About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Deliver employability and work preparation training through bite-sized micro sessions, structured group workshops, one-to-one support, face-to-face delivery, and virtual learning
  • Assess participant needs and adapt content, pace, and delivery methods to provide inclusive, accessible, and tailored support
  • Deliver job-readiness training covering CV writing, application support, job search techniques, interview preparation, confidence building, transferable skills, workplace behaviours, digital skills, and preparation for starting work
  • Collaborate with Youth Employment Advisors and operational colleagues to identify participant needs and support progression into relevant sectors and live vacancies
  • Develop, review, and improve micro-learning sessions, training materials, and wider learning provision
  • Plan and manage delivery schedules to support participant engagement, attendance, quality, and performance outcomes
  • Monitor learner progress and achievement, provide constructive feedback, and share outcomes for action planning and progression
  • Maintain accurate records of training delivery, attendance, and participant outcomes for programme, quality, funding, audit, and reporting requirements
  • Ensure delivery is safe, inclusive, and compliant with safeguarding, Prevent, data protection, health and safety, and organisational policies
  • Support young people on the Youth Jobs Guarantee programme to develop skills, confidence, and knowledge for sustainable employment

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience delivering employability, work preparation, skills, or personal development training to young people and adults in both group and one-to-one settings
  • Confident delivering engaging learning sessions through face-to-face and online formats
  • Ability to adapt content into concise, high-impact micro-learning sessions
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and motivational skills
  • Ability to tailor delivery to different learning styles, confidence levels, and barriers to employment
  • Good understanding of employability, recruitment processes, workplace expectations, and challenges young people may face when progressing into employment
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365, digital learning platforms, and case management/management information systems
  • Ability to plan and manage a varied delivery schedule
  • Ability to achieve agreed performance targets
  • Ability to travel across the designated delivery area as required
  • Award in Education and Training (Level 3), Certificate in Education and Training (Level 4), or equivalent teaching/training qualification (desirable)
  • Experience delivering employability, skills, education or welfare-to-work programmes for young people or adults (desirable)
  • Experience developing engaging learning resources and training provision (desirable)
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, quality and compliance requirements (desirable)
  • Relevant qualification in teaching, training, employability, careers guidance or skills development (desirable)
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and vulnerable adults
  • Compliance with Prevent Duty, modern British values, data protection, health and safety, and organisational policies
  • May be required to process a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS/DS) check, dependent on the role
