About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Execute and monitor accounting routines applicable to financial institutions
- Prepare, review, and maintain accounting flowcharts related to the company’s products
- Manage, control, and enhance the institution’s Chart of Accounts structure
- Perform accounting analyses, reconciliations, and validations
- Contribute to projects involving system implementations, new products, and regulatory changes
- Review and validate accounting configurations in financial systems
- Conduct system testing (BAT/UAT), assessing accounting impacts
- Support compliance with BACEN regulatory requirements
- Prepare and review information related to tax and regulatory reporting obligations
- Collaborate with Business, Technology, Compliance, and Risk teams
- Identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, and transformation
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completed or ongoing higher education in Accounting or a related field
- Experience working at financial institutions
- Knowledge of accounting practices applicable to the financial market
- Experience with BACEN rules and regulations
- Knowledge of CADOCs (4060, 3040, and 4010)
- Experience structuring and maintaining a Chart of Accounts
- Experience working on projects with accounting and regulatory impacts
- Experience with accounting reconciliations and validations
- Knowledge of internal controls
- Intermediate or advanced Excel skills
- Ability to collaborate with different areas of the organization
- Knowledge of COSIF
- Experience with card and lending products
- Experience working at a Sociedade de Crédito Direto (SCD), a type of direct credit company
- Experience implementing accounting systems
- Knowledge of accounting configurations in systems
- Experience with system testing (BAT/UAT)
- Participation in process automation initiatives
- Knowledge of ancillary reporting obligations for financial institutions
