About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Execute security duties on an assigned shift
  • Protect the lives and property of guests, team members and Seneca Gaming Corporation property
  • Provide guest service meeting Seneca Gaming Corporation expectations
  • Ensure the safety of guests and team members on the premises
  • Perform Security Ambassador duties when assigned
  • Assist guests and team members and respond to medical emergencies and guest disputes
  • Observe and patrol Seneca Gaming Corporation properties
  • Work designated posts and complete assigned post duties
  • Report violations, acts and situations detrimental to Seneca Gaming Corporation
  • Maintain the integrity of slot, sportsbook and table-game areas
  • Perform Class III gaming security duties, including asset transfers, table fills, slot/jackpot escorts, and card and dice verification and destruction
  • Adhere to compliance requirements and regulatory standards for Class III gaming operations
  • Assist with internal and external investigations
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding Security Department functions and confidential information
  • Maintain understanding of and comply with information security policies, procedures and Acceptable Use Policy
  • Provide exceptional, professional and friendly guest service
  • Meet attendance guidelines and comply with regulatory, departmental and company policies
  • Attend necessary meetings
  • Work a schedule determined by a 24-hour schedule

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment
  • High School diploma or its equivalency required
  • Preference given to candidates with experience in Security, Law Enforcement, Military or Hospitality
  • Ability to use approved Security software, report writing software, Dispatch software, Word and Excel
  • Good observation skills
  • Good writing and spelling skills
  • Proven guest service experience
  • Ability to work in an intense, fast-paced environment requiring a high degree of concentration
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to write routine correspondence and speak effectively to the public, employees and customers
  • Ability to interact effectively with customers and employees
  • Ability to resolve problems and conflicts diplomatically and tactfully
  • Must be able to complete CPR/First Aid Training Course and other required training
  • Must complete required SGC Training programs within nine months of commencing employment
  • Must be able to stand, walk and move through all casino areas
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays
  • Required vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral and depth vision, and ability to adjust focus
  • Ability to maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude under pressure in a fast-paced, noisy casino environment
  • Must be able to work in an environment where smoking is permitted
