About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Create a welcoming experience upon guest arrival and provide exceptional guest service
- Perform assigned indoor or outdoor positions throughout the SGC property as directed by Security Management
- Report violations, acts, or situations detrimental to the Seneca Gaming Corporation
- Assist with internal or external investigations conducted by the Seneca Gaming Corporation, Seneca Gaming Authority, or authorized local authorities in a non-Gaming capacity
- Resolve or de-escalate conflicts in Non-Gaming areas
- Maintain confidentiality regarding Security Department functions and confidential information
- Understand and comply with information security policies, procedures, and the Acceptable Use Policy
- Maintain a professional work environment with supervisors, managers, and staff
- Meet attendance guidelines and comply with regulatory, departmental, and company policies
- Attend required meetings
- Work a schedule determined by a 24-hour operation
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment
- Preference will be given to candidates with a High school diploma
- Preference will be given to candidates with Security or Hospitality experience, or guest service experience
- Must have good observation skills
- Must have good writing and spelling skills
- Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally
- Ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to the public, employees and customers
- Must have ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees
- Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner
- Must successfully complete CPR/First Aid Training Course and any other training required by Security Management
- Must be able to stand, walk and move through all Non-Gaming areas of the casino
- Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays
- Must be able to work in an environment where smoking is permitted
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Must maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced, noisy casino environment
- Must complete all required SGC Training programs within nine (9) months from commencement of employment
