About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Analyze existing SAP BusinessObjects reports, including Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports, and universes
- Redesign and rebuild reports in QlikView and/or Qlik Sense
- Debug and troubleshoot legacy BusinessObjects reports and newly developed Qlik applications
- Re-engineer SQL, scripts, expressions, and outdated report logic according to Qlik best practices
- Validate migrated reports against source BusinessObjects output for accuracy and parity
- Document migration mappings, logic changes, and known discrepancies
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to clarify requirements and confirm report specifications
- Optimize Qlik data models and load scripts for improved performance
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven experience developing and maintaining SAP BusinessObjects reports, including Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports, and Universe Design
- Strong hands-on experience with Qlik Sense and/or QlikView, including data modeling, set analysis, scripting, and expressions
- Solid SQL skills for querying, troubleshooting, and data validation
- Ability to debug and re-engineer existing code and reports
- Experience with data migration or platform transition projects
- Understanding of ETL and data modeling concepts
- Strong attention to detail for data validation and quality assurance
- Experience with NPrinting or other Qlik reporting extensions is nice to have
- Familiarity with Python or VBScript is nice to have
- Knowledge of relational databases, including Oracle and SQL Server, is nice to have
- Comfortable working independently in ambiguous, legacy-code environments
- Strong communication skills for explaining technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders
- Detail-oriented and methodical approach to validation and testing
