About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare and enter general ledger journal entries, ensuring proper coding and appropriate accruals
- Verify entries posted while working with corresponding departments
- Ensure entries comply with GAAP and AICPA standards
- Prepare 30–35 financial statements monthly according to mandated schedules
- Adhere to internal controls and policies and procedures relating to financial activities
- Enter annual budgets prepared by Community Managers
- Collaborate and communicate with Community Managers regarding financials
- Research prior management accounting records
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Knowledge of accounting principles, including debits and credits
- Experience preparing and entering general ledger journal entries
- Knowledge of proper coding and accruals
- Knowledge of GAAP and AICPA standards
- Ability to prepare 30–35 financial statements monthly according to mandated schedules
- Knowledge of internal controls
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent written and oral skills
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Self-starter, organized, and able to plan and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- High energy and positive attitude
- Ability to collaborate well with team members and clients
- Adaptability to change
- Able to sit and view a computer screen for extended periods
- Able to stand at a copier/scanner periodically throughout the day
