About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Partner with a Territory Business Leader (TBL) to launch a new innovative insulin pump and future Sequel products
- Deliver clinical education and product training to people with diabetes and healthcare providers
- Formulate territory strategies and initiatives with the TBL to meet or exceed territory goals
- Develop territory planning and strategies with the TBL
- Execute clinical selling strategies within assigned accounts
- Assess referrals for product use and confirm product-utilization criteria
- Facilitate product education and training for Sequel product users
- Promote clinical benefits of automated insulin delivery and conduct product demonstrations
- Certify healthcare providers to conduct product training
- Facilitate virtual product training and educational webinars
- Communicate user feedback cross-functionally to improve problem solving and product development
- Collaborate with customer care and sales support to optimize user experience
- Demonstrate expertise in Sequel products, diabetes, and diabetes-care therapies
- Participate in conventions, educational forums, and meetings
- Manage leads and opportunities in the customer relations database daily
- Submit product training documentation
- Maintain relationships with patient advocacy groups and professional diabetes organizations
- Assist with field sales and clinical training
- Participate in cross-functional advisory boards
- Mentor junior staff
- Lead weekly team calls and regional or area calls and meetings as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- A valid professional license in one or more of the following fields: RN, RD, PA, NP, Pharmacist
- Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) certification required for the Senior CDS role
- 4+ years of clinical diabetes education experience for the Senior CDS role
- 2+ years of experience coordinating and conducting diabetes education for the CDS role
- Strong experience in the technical use of diabetes technology preferred
- Experience coordinating and conducting diabetes device education in the medical device industry preferred for the Senior CDS role
- Demonstrated history of high performance in previous roles
- Excellent presentation skills and ability to respond to questions from patients and healthcare providers in real time
- Strong data analysis, evaluation and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of diabetes products and therapies
- Candidate must live within the assigned geography
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to function in a fast-paced start-up environment
- Valid driver’s license required
- Ability to carry and transport professional samples and literature
- Ability to commute and spend extended periods of time driving each day, including possible overnight travel
- Demonstrated history of top-tier success and meeting clinical metrics in the medical device industry for the Senior CDS role
- Experience in developmental and leadership roles for the Senior CDS role
- Experience representing an organization at industry conferences/conventions for the Senior CDS role
- Demonstrated career progression/promotions into roles with increased responsibility for the Senior CDS role
- Strategic problem-solving ability for the Senior CDS role
- Demonstrated success in sales or in partnership with sales for the Senior CDS role
