About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Partner with a Territory Business Leader to launch Sequel’s innovative insulin pump and future products
  • Deliver clinical education and product training for people with diabetes and healthcare providers
  • Formulate territory strategies and initiatives to meet or exceed territory goals
  • Develop territory plans and execute clinical selling strategies within assigned accounts
  • Assess product-use referrals to confirm utilization criteria
  • Facilitate in-person and virtual product education, training, and webinars
  • Drive healthcare-provider adoption by promoting clinical benefits and conducting product demonstrations
  • Certify healthcare providers to train people with diabetes
  • Communicate user feedback cross-functionally to improve products and solve problems
  • Collaborate with customer care and sales support to optimize user experience
  • Demonstrate expertise in Sequel products, diabetes, and therapeutic options
  • Participate in conventions, educational forums, and meetings
  • Manage leads and opportunities in the customer relations database and submit training documentation
  • Maintain relationships with patient advocacy groups and professional diabetes organizations
  • Senior CDS: mentor junior staff, assist with field sales and clinical training, participate in advisory boards, and lead team or regional calls as needed
  • Travel up to 80% within the defined territory, with occasional national travel

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Valid professional license in one or more of: RN, RD, PA, NP, or Pharmacist
  • 2+ years of experience coordinating and conducting diabetes education, with strong experience in the technical use of diabetes technology preferred
  • For the Senior CDS role: 4+ years of clinical diabetes education experience
  • Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) certification preferred/strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated history of high performance in previous roles
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills; ability to respond to patient and healthcare-provider questions in real time
  • Strong data analysis, evaluation, and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of diabetes products and therapies
  • Must live within the assigned geography
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced start-up environment
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Ability to carry and transport professional samples and literature
  • Ability to commute and spend extended periods driving daily, including possible overnight travel
  • Senior CDS: demonstrated top-tier success and achievement of clinical metrics in the medical device industry
  • Senior CDS: developmental or leadership experience, such as field sales training, mentoring new hires, or advisory/clinical input committees
  • Senior CDS: experience representing an organization at industry conferences/conventions
  • Senior CDS: demonstrated career progression into roles with increased responsibility
  • Senior CDS: strategic problem-solving skills and demonstrated success in sales or partnership with sales
