About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and supervise field technicians, civil crews and subcontractors
- Conduct site assessments, network surveys, inspections and quality audits
- Review construction designs and validate scopes of work before execution
- Coordinate construction activities to meet customer commitments and delivery targets
- Monitor contractor performance, defect resolution and compliance requirements
- Ensure all work complies with safety, quality and operational standards
- Provide shoulder-to-shoulder coaching, mentoring and field support
- Liaise with clients, authorities and stakeholders to support network operations
- Participate in an on-call roster
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 5 years' experience within external telecommunications networks
- Proven experience leading field-based teams and subcontractors
- Strong understanding of network construction methodologies, including fibre deployment and maintenance, cable hauling, civil construction activities, and network audits and quality inspections
- Working knowledge of HFC, FTTN, FTTC and FTTP networks
- Ability to interpret network designs, build packs and construction documentation
- Experience managing contractor performance, KPIs and service delivery outcomes
- Strong focus on safety, compliance and quality assurance
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
