About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage and optimize end-to-end billing operations
Support recurring automated customer billing and complex manual invoicing
Ensure accurate pricing, usage calculations, and delivery schedules
Partner with Deal Desk, Sales, Legal, Revenue Operations, Onboarding, Support, Success, and AR/Collections
Manage client accounts, set up billing, track contract data, and address customer billing issues
Review contract terms and Salesforce data for billing accuracy before signing
Resolve billing disputes and issue approved credit/debit memos
Accelerate cash collection on past-due accounts
Act as an escalation point and conduct root-cause analysis for recurring discrepancies
Support escalations and reconciliations
Assist with month-end close and partner with Revenue Accounting on US GAAP revenue recognition
Maintain documentation and audit trails for internal and external financial audits
Identify workflow gaps and operational bottlenecks
Lead automation and billing infrastructure scaling initiatives
Participate in billing software UAT, billing system implementations, and system rule updates
Lead efforts to streamline billing processes across entities
Assist with billing-related reporting and ad hoc analysis

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent experience
4-6+ years of billing, accounts receivable, or billing-operations experience
Preferably experience in a B2B SaaS, tech, or high-volume environment
Deep understanding of contract management, order-to-cash processes, sales tax, basic revenue recognition (ASC 606), and accounts receivable principles
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
Experience with Salesforce is a plus
Ability to meet deadlines and multitask in a fast-paced environment
Strong written and oral communication skills
Detail-oriented
Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with employees, management, and external agencies
