Key responsibilities & impact
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical faults using a variety of testing equipment
  • Carry out site safety inspections, electrical testing, and comprehensive safety assessments
  • Maintain safe, efficient, and reliable operation of electrical systems across sewage treatment works and sewage pumping stations
  • Undertake routine proactive and reactive maintenance on sewage treatment assets
  • Install, service, and maintain essential treatment equipment
  • Optimise asset performance and minimise downtime
  • Support the long-term sustainability and reliability of site operations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Full Valid UK Drivers Licence is essential
  • A level 3 Electrical qualification or time served apprenticeship
  • 18th Edition (BS 7671) qualification
  • BS 2391 Inspection & Testing certification
  • Ability to work under own initiative, both unsupervised and within a team environment
  • Problem-solving ability
  • Flexible approach and ability to react quickly and efficiently to changes
  • Ability to work 37 hours a week, Monday to Friday, with a standby rota
