About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the Team Manager in managing the day-to-day operation of water treatment sites and the wider area
  • Assist the Team Manager and planner with controlling operations and access for third-party work on site
  • Organise chemical deliveries, contractors, audits, media changes, interventions, and services
  • Ensure full compliance with regulatory and company requirements
  • Focus on improving asset availability
  • Apply and promote standardised practices and procedures for managing H&S risks and quality problems
  • Manage customer issues in the area
  • Provide cover for the Team Manager when appropriate
  • Work with maintenance and operational teams
  • Support targets relating to maintenance, quality, continuous supply, safety, and cost control

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High level experience in water treatment and supply, as well as maintenance, electrical or instrumentation work in this area
  • Transferable skillset matching the role and ability to hit the ground running
  • Excellent IT skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Outstanding organisational skills
  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly to a variety of audiences
  • Strong understanding and experience of H&S management, including managing contractors and suppliers, beneficial
  • Supervisory or management experience and relevant leadership behaviours highly desirable
  • Full UK driving licence required
  • Positive attitude, adaptability, willingness to learn, and ability to see tasks through from start to finish
