Key responsibilities & impact

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance and maintain software solutions for financial processes
Participate in the software development lifecycle
Develop new software features as an integrated team member
Leverage accounting knowledge to identify gaps and improve automation and reconciliation workflows
Design, develop, and install software solutions
Write code and document functionality
Build high-quality, innovative, fully performing software in compliance with coding standards and technical design
Evaluate and deploy software tools, processes, and metrics
Provide support and consulting on software systems usage
Ensure compliance with project plans and industry standards

Requirements

What you’ll need

Prior experience as an accountant or financial analyst
Solid understanding of financial operations such as reconciliation, reporting, and compliance
Proficient in at least one programming language, such as Python, Java, or Go
Familiarity with database systems such as MySQL or PostgreSQL
Experience with backend API development
Experience with relational database storage and retrieval
Familiarity with software engineering tools, software development methodology, and release processes
Demonstrated experience working with Claude or equivalent large language model tools is required
Comfortable leveraging AI to enhance productivity, research, and communication
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field
Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
High standards for code quality and defect prevention
Ability to challenge decisions respectfully and commit to decisions once made
