Key responsibilities & impact

Assist the product manager in drafting, organizing, and tracking tickets for payments service changes and improvements
Ensure work is documented, prioritized, and moving through the backlog; follow up on status and surface blockers
Gather stakeholder context, summarize key information, and prepare materials for provider meetings
Respond to routine internal questions using available resources
Learn and apply SQL to query payment data
Support creation and maintenance of dashboards tracking payment performance, processing failures, and operational health
Flag anomalies in payment flows and assemble data for reviews and investigations
Maintain documentation for payment flows, fee structures, and operational processes
Prepare concise written updates to align cross-functional teams
Participate in agile meetings with engineering, operations, compliance, and support teams
Translate technical challenges into clear language and business needs into actionable requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, or a related field
Genuine interest in payments, fintech, and complex financial systems
Natural curiosity and a logical mindset
Strong attention to detail
Comfort working with data and willingness to learn SQL; prior experience is a plus but not required
Effective written and verbal communication
Experience in internships, projects, or extracurriculars related to product, fintech, data analysis, or startups is a plus
Demonstrated experience working with Claude or equivalent large language model tools is required
Comfortable leveraging AI to enhance productivity, research, and communication
Relentlessly high standards and commitment to quality
Ability to challenge decisions respectfully and commit to decisions once made
Ability to deliver results with appropriate quality and timeliness
