Key responsibilities & impact

Architect, upgrade, design, and build scalable infrastructure solutions using Kubernetes, AWS, RDS (MySQL/Postgres), and modern distributed patterns
Drive the infrastructure team’s roadmap toward greater reliability, recoverability, and scalability
Conduct capacity planning, benchmarking, and stress testing to identify bottlenecks and prepare systems for business growth
Define, maintain, and enforce SLAs and infrastructure alerts
Lead anomaly detection and flexible alerting improvements
Lead AI enablement efforts applying AI and automation to infrastructure reliability, developer productivity, and internal tooling
Build consistency and scalability across a distributed microservices architecture while maintaining performance and reliability
Establish and evolve engineering best practices for observability, security, and CI/CD
Mentor engineers and promote learning, innovation, and operational excellence
Collaborate cross-functionally to translate business goals into technical roadmaps and deliver results

Requirements

What you’ll need

12+ years of professional software engineering or infrastructure engineering experience, including significant SRE and backend experience
Deployed significant changes to a production application or infrastructure configuration in the past 30 days
Strong proficiency in Golang
Experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs
Expertise with SQL-based RDBMS, including MySQL and PostgreSQL
Experience optimizing database schemas and queries for performance at scale
Proficiency in observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or New Relic
Understanding of distributed systems design patterns, including transactional outbox, event-driven architecture, stream processing, and queues
Ability to bring new ideas forward, influence decisions, and lead complex technical initiatives
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
Preferred: AWS cloud infrastructure, especially AWS Aurora RDS for MySQL and Postgres
Preferred: data engineering, data pipelines, and data warehousing
Preferred: CI/CD pipelines and containerized microservices in Kubernetes
Preferred: AI developer tooling such as Claude Code, Gemini CLI, Codex, and Cursor
Preferred: commercial APIs and data-driven applications in high-growth environments
Preferred: leadership in technical direction, system reliability, and scaling high-traffic services
Experience with Golang, Typescript, Python, MySQL, Postgres, Elasticsearch, AWS, Kubernetes, Git, GitLab CI/CD, automated end-to-end, integration, and unit testing
