About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform third-party audits per SGS Certification procedures and applicable standards
Make relevant decisions concerning the audit process and inform SGS when issues fall outside the audit process
Collect and analyze sufficient information to provide a recommendation for certification
Plan and control auditing activities and other members of audit teams
Perform social compliance certification audits in conformance with CSCA standards
Remain qualified for social audits and SMETA in line with SEDEX and CSCA requirements
Determine whether registration should be recommended or allowed to continue based on audit evidence
Operate the SGS Certification System in all auditing activities
Liaise with Product Managers, Technical Accreditation CBE, and Manager, Technical Accreditation CBE regarding system changes
Take responsibility for the overall audit team depending on the assignment
Control and oversee Auditor team activities during audits
Collaborate with Auditor teams during auditing activities
Provide sufficient audit experience to cover SGS Certification’s accredited activities
Assist in training Auditors and Senior Auditors
Participate in witness audits by SGS or accreditation bodies
Maintain all audit-related credentials
Undertake other activities directed by the Manager, Certification Audit CBE or Manager, Technical Accreditation CBE
Adhere to internal standards, policies, and procedures

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in science or food
APSCA auditors with minimum RA status
CSCA is required
5+ years’ work experience in a proven management function in Food / Agri industry
Minimum 2 years’ work experience in code of conduct compliance assurance function or safety, environment & quality management system coordination
Minimum 3 years’ auditing experience
Qualified as lead certification auditor, including minimum two years as a social auditor
Experience in delivering training is preferable
Travel up to 80% of the time by automobile or airplane
Some international travel with flight time of 8+ hours may be required
Weekend travel may be necessary
Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodations
