About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform electrical engineering studies, including power factor analysis, harmonic modeling, grounding analysis, short-circuits, protective device coordination, and arc-flash studies for domestic and international projects
  • Provide engineering-related design, analysis, and studies
  • Design and troubleshoot protective relaying and controls
  • Occasionally support Field Services on shutdown, startup, installation, and maintenance projects
  • Interact with customers to gather critical information
  • Review engineering plans
  • Maintain professional customer relationships
  • Work hands-on with engineering and field service teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
  • Prefer candidates with an educational focus in Power Systems studies
  • Willingness to be hands-on and work in the field alongside field technicians
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to clearly communicate in English verbally and in writing
  • Ability to communicate directly with customers and co-workers
  • Knowledge or high level understanding of protective relay projects, short-circuit, protective device coordination, arc-flash, and power quality studies is a plus
  • Utility design experience is a plus
