About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide engineering-related design, analysis and studies for domestic or international projects
  • Conduct short-circuit, protective device coordination and arc-flash studies
  • Perform power factor analysis and correction
  • Perform harmonic modeling and analysis
  • Perform grounding analysis
  • Occasionally interact with customers to gather critical information and review engineering plans
  • Occasionally work in the field under the direction of the Field Services team on shutdown, startup and maintenance projects

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • At least 2 years relevant experience
  • Prefer educational focus in Power Systems studies
  • Experience in short-circuit, protective device coordination, arc-flash and power quality studies preferred
  • Must have experience using SKM, ETAP, ASPEN, EZPower, or other power system modeling software
  • Must have knowledge of low, medium and high-voltage up to 500 kV
  • Must be able to clearly communicate in English via verbal and written methods
  • Must be comfortable communicating directly with customers and co-workers
  • Field experience with substations or switchgear highly desirable
  • Utility design experience a plus
  • Availability for occasional domestic and international travel a plus
