About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide engineering-related design, analysis, and studies for domestic or international projects
- Conduct short-circuit, protective device coordination, and arc-flash studies
- Perform power factor analysis and correction, harmonic modeling and analysis, and grounding analysis
- Occasionally interact with customers to gather critical information and review engineering plans
- Occasionally work in the field under the direction of the Field Services team on shutdown, startup, and maintenance projects
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- At least 2 years relevant experience
- Experience using SKM, ETAP, ASPEN, EZPower, or other power system modeling software
- Knowledge of low-, medium-, and high-voltage systems up to 500 kV
- Ability to communicate clearly in English verbally and in writing
- Comfortable communicating directly with customers and co-workers
- Field experience with substations or switchgear highly desirable
- Utility design experience a plus
- Availability for occasional domestic and international travel a plus
