About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as SHI's subject matter expert on full-stack observability architecture
Lead technical discovery sessions to assess clients' observability maturity
Design and deliver product demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, and technical presentations
Design and present target-state observability architectures
Translate complex observability concepts into business-relevant value propositions
Develop and maintain reference architectures, battle cards, competitive analyses, technical briefs, and vendor evaluation frameworks
Evaluate and qualify new vendor technologies and make partner adoption recommendations
Conduct internal enablement sessions for engineering and sales teams
Identify observability opportunities and optimize service offerings to drive revenue growth
Collaborate with SHI stakeholder partner teams on integrated observability service solutions
Build and maintain relationships with key clients and partners
Track emerging observability technologies and industry developments
Lead innovation initiatives and maintain practice standards for high-quality service delivery

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent work experience
Minimum 6 years of experience in observability, monitoring, site reliability engineering, systems engineering, application operations, or infrastructure architecture roles with hands-on design and implementation of monitoring and telemetry solutions
Demonstrated experience in presales, solutions architecture, or technical consulting within the observability, infrastructure, or application operations domain
Experience presenting to customers, internal teams, or industry professional groups on observability, monitoring, or operations topics
Strong proficiency in overseeing and directing opportunity engagements to completion
Deep understanding of end-to-end observability design, instrumentation strategy, telemetry pipelines, data management, tool consolidation, migration planning, SLO-based operating models, and continuous improvement frameworks
Expertise in solution design across enterprise systems, integration platforms, and data layers
Strong background in system security, data privacy, and compliance
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation tools, and infrastructure-as-code frameworks
Proficiency in Python, Go, Terraform, and Ansible
One or more listed observability, cloud, Kubernetes, OpenTelemetry, or ITIL certifications preferred but not required
