About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work alongside Architects as a network expert supporting account teams, customers, and go-to-market initiatives
- Lead consultative discussions with clients regarding network platforms
- Review and evaluate customer network technologies, consumption, implementations, and processes
- Strengthen technical relationships with OEMs and strategic and emerging partners
- Educate and develop sales teams on network solution selling and key technologies
- Conduct product training and positioning for sales teams and customers
- Evaluate customer data center environments and infrastructure technologies
- Design and propose tailored infrastructure solutions aligned with customer business objectives
- Act as a trusted IT advisor for customers in partnership with Field Account Executives
- Manage the solution practice pipeline by developing strategies for top prospects and acquiring new business
- Identify technology opportunities across data center, cloud, network, security, collaboration, and services
- Develop solutions that fit customer needs and budgets
- Engage with CIOs, IT Directors, CTOs, and other client contacts for comprehensive account management
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completed Bachelor’s Degree or relevant work experience required
- Minimum 2 years of experience with Cisco networking products, including switches, routers, wireless, Nexus, and Meraki
- Familiarity with Cisco Commerce Workspace (CCW)
- Ability to travel to SHI, partner, and customer events
- Advanced certifications such as CCIE, CCNP, JNCIE, JNCIP, CASX, or ACSP
- Strong knowledge of technical network solutions including route/switch, LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, cloud edge, virtual networking, secure access, and network visibility
- Ability to communicate and sell complex technical products or services by understanding customer needs and articulating value propositions
- Expertise with similar products and solutions from vendors such as Aruba, Juniper, HPE, and Arista
- Experience with software-defined networking technologies including SDDC, SD-WAN, SASE, and SSE
- Intermediate skill level in the listed network solution and sales competencies
