About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead technical architecture and solution delivery for VMware Cloud Foundation projects across multiple service domains
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert within the Cloud Foundation domain
Provide architecture and delivery leadership for SDDC, VMware VCF 9.x, VCF Automation, VCF Operations, VCF Networking, and CI/CD pipeline solutions
Serve as technical lead and SME on projects and workshops, overseeing project outcomes
Develop tools, frameworks, and processes to improve project delivery efficiency and consistency
Lead infrastructure modernization strategies, processes, and methodologies
Partner with sales and presales teams to identify and close professional services opportunities
Conduct customer discovery and solution scoping discussions
Deliver configuration, implementation, and upgrade services in customer environments
Mentor and develop architects and consultants
Participate in presales engagements, solution design sessions, and service planning
Stay current on emerging technologies, industry trends, and vendor offerings
Provide technical leadership in presales and post-sales activities supporting solution adoption and use
Develop long-term strategic plans for the Infrastructure practice, service offerings, and customer engagements

Requirements

What you’ll need

Expert proficiency in PowerShell, PowerCLI, Python, JavaScript, and other scripting languages
Extensive knowledge of DevOps methodologies, including governance and security best practices
Deep expertise in Kubernetes platforms and related technologies
Extensive experience with Agile and Scrum delivery methodologies
Expert project oversight and direction
Expert technical requirements analysis and stakeholder engagement
Expert systems and infrastructure design, development, and maintenance
Expert coding, debugging, and scripting automation
Expert knowledge of firewalls, load balancers, hypervisors, storage, monitoring, security, and orchestration tools
Expert ability to develop Statements of Work and drive professional services revenue
Extensive experience on large-scale IT design, deployment, and configuration projects
Strong troubleshooting, written and verbal communication, organizational, project management, analytical, research, time-management, and consultative skills
Ability to guide other consultants
Required certifications: Broadcom Knight and VMware Certified Advanced Professional
Completed Bachelor’s Degree or relevant work experience
7+ years of experience in VMware Cloud Foundation solutions architecture and implementation
10+ years of experience with VMware and associated products in enterprise environments
8–10+ years of technical experience with increasing responsibility
Willingness to travel occasionally
Thorough understanding of automation technologies and software-defined datacenter
