About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Proactively grow the specialty pharmacy patient population by making outbound phone calls to eligible patients and enrolling them with Shields Partner Pharmacy
Educate patients on services offered by the Shields Specialty Pharmacy Program
Protect confidential patient information
Communicate with patients by phone and explain the benefits of the Shields Partner Pharmacy program
Access patients' EMRs and review chart notes before outbound calls
Identify medications requiring special storage or handling, including hazardous and refrigerated medications
Identify supplies needed for select medications, including sharps containers, needles/syringes, alcohol swabs, and band-aids
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

Active Louisiana Pharmacy Technician License Required
State-registered (Louisiana) Pharmacy Technician; CPhT preferred
2+ years of experience as a pharmacy technician
High School Diploma or GED
Strong communication, organization, and tech skills
Empathy, integrity, and a team-first mindset
Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Solid computer skills, including navigating the internet and web-based platforms
Prior customer service experience / outbound call experience
Data entry and computer skills will be evaluated through an assessment as part of the pre-employment process
