About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the global sourcing and buying strategy for natural crystals and mineral specimens
- Identify and source unique, high-quality, and commercially attractive products from key sourcing regions worldwide
- Build distinctive collections featuring rare, unusual, high-quality, and visually appealing specimens
- Evaluate product quality, authenticity, market demand, pricing, margins, and commercial potential
- Establish and maintain relationships with international suppliers, miners, exporters, and mineral dealers
- Monitor mineral trends, availability, sourcing opportunities, market prices, and emerging product categories
- Support the growth of Shop LC’s natural crystal and mineral specimen assortment, including Mindful Souls collections and specialized Shop LC shows
- Represent the company at industry events, including the Tucson Gem & Mineral Show
- Improve product selection, buying costs, margins, and overall category performance
- Collaborate with merchandising, product development, and show teams to ensure products are sourced and presented effectively
Requirements
What you’ll need- Extensive hands-on experience in buying and sourcing natural crystals, mineral specimens, and related products
- Strong knowledge of mineral varieties, specimen quality, rarity, authenticity, grading, and international market pricing
- Established sourcing relationships and practical buying experience across India, Africa, South America, and Asia
- Previous attendance at the Tucson Gem & Mineral Show, with demonstrated ability to identify valuable products and build supplier relationships
- Proven negotiation skills and ability to evaluate purchase costs, margins, and commercial opportunities
- Strong understanding of international sourcing, supplier management, and cross-border purchasing
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally for sourcing, supplier visits, and trade shows
- Valid US visa
- Ability to travel to the United States as required
