About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the end-to-end design process from discovery and research/concept exploration through polished implementation, QA, and launch
- Partner with Product and Engineering to define problems, shape product strategy, and influence what gets built
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows, product quality, and customer experience for creators, brands, and shoppers
- Prototype and experiment to validate ideas, communicate concepts, and reduce uncertainty before development
- Leverage modern AI tools and emerging workflows for design, QA, prototyping, and execution
- Participate in critiques and product discussions, providing thoughtful feedback and raising the team’s quality bar
- Contribute to and evolve the design system for consistency, scalability, and accessibility
- Deliver polished, detailed experiences from concept through launch
- Stay current with new tools, technologies, and product patterns to improve team design and development practices
Requirements
What you’ll need- 7+ years of product design experience, ideally in a startup or fast-moving product environment
- Portfolio demonstrating exceptional design, visual craft, and product thinking
- Experience designing across web, mobile, and responsive platforms
- Builder mindset; willingness to solve problems beyond the interface and enter unfamiliar territory
- Strong product intuition balancing user needs, business objectives, and technical constraints
- Comfort with rapid iteration and ambiguity, including knowing when to explore versus ship
- Experience creating prototypes to communicate ideas and validate solutions
- Curiosity about AI-powered design and development workflows
- Experience with tools like Claude Code, Cursor, Lovable, or similar is a plus, but not required
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills with Product, Engineering, and Design
- Systems thinking with strong focus on scalability, quality, and craft
