About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own Shorthand’s product story, including who it is for and how it is communicated
- Shape positioning, segmentation, and core value propositions with company leaders
- Develop understanding of buyers, users, market, and competitors and turn insights into company tools
- Build messaging frameworks, use cases, and proof points supporting the sales-led motion
- Work with customers to understand and communicate the value of Shorthand
- Create sales narratives, objection handling, competitive positioning, decks, and one-pagers
- Improve conversion of trial users into sales conversations
- Lead product and feature launches end-to-end, including strategy, KPIs, narrative, and execution coordination
- Bring customer, market, and competitive insight to pricing and packaging decisions
- Maintain consistent voice and messaging across websites, product pages, sales materials, lifecycle emails, and in-product touchpoints
- Partner with Product and Design on feature framing, naming, and customer introductions
- Feed market insight and customer feedback into product strategy and roadmap discussions
- Report to the VP of Growth & Marketing and partner with the CEO, Head of Sales, and Product team
- Use Shorthand to demonstrate the product through launches and enablement
Requirements
What you’ll need- A bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, journalism, communications, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience
- At least 4 years in product marketing or a closely related role
- Experience ideally in B2B SaaS or technology
- Track record of independently driven positioning work
- Experience supporting a sales-led motion with enterprise buyers
- Experience creating sales enablement materials, including decks, one-pagers, and launch assets
- Demonstrated success partnering with leadership and cross-functional teams, including Sales, Product, and Marketing
- Outstanding writing and communication skills
- Ability to write shippable copy for website headlines, product pages, launch emails, and sales decks
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
- Passion for visual storytelling and communicating product value on the web
- Links to at least two pieces of created work
