About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct scenario analyses and business diagnostics
  • Develop and support teams in measuring results, identifying opportunities, trends, and patterns in datasets
  • Propose hypotheses and solve problems through data science
  • Present and communicate analyses to non-technical audiences
  • Partner with Data Engineers to improve the data acquisition and transformation workflows used in models
  • Partner with Data Analysts to generate business insights and guide analyses for strategic decision-making
  • Ensure the quality, performance, and sustainability of models
  • Participate in the Data Science Chapter, fostering a data-driven culture among colleagues and operational teams
  • Maintain documentation for deliverables
  • Continuously develop technical and professional skills
  • Apply statistical and machine learning techniques to support decision-making and deploy intelligent models and algorithms in software products
  • Extract and process data from diverse sources and large-scale datasets

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field
  • For internal candidates: at least 6 months of experience at Sicredi
  • Languages for advanced analytics: SQL, R, and Python
  • Version control and CI/CD tools: Git, GitLab, or similar
  • ML/AI frameworks: TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn
  • Advanced statistics applied to data science: inference, hypothesis testing, and multivariate analysis
  • Statistical and econometric modeling: regression, time series, and survival models
  • Experience with production environments: model deployment, MLOps, and monitoring
  • Experience with cloud platforms: AWS
  • Querying relational and non-relational databases: advanced SQL and query optimization
  • Data architecture: modeling, ETL pipelines, and integration
  • Advanced visualization and data storytelling: Power BI, Plotly, and Seaborn
