About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform accounting reconciliations and journal entries for Sicredi-affiliated cooperatives, ensuring quality and timeliness.
- Support accounting close processes between the 1st and 5th business days of each month.
- Generate accounting data to support decision-making in partnership with product and business teams.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Support the collection of information for the preparation of Notes to the Financial Statements.
- Maintain relationships with cooperatives and partner departments, demonstrating a strong sense of ownership of the business.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- Solid knowledge of accounting, with practical experience in accounting routines within financial institutions.
- Experience with accounting and reconciliation processes, including reconciliations between accounting and operational systems.
- Intermediate or advanced Excel skills.
- Analytical ability to interpret and apply accounting and regulatory standards, with a focus on compliance and data integrity.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills when working with cooperatives and internal departments to understand and map accounting processes.
- Data-oriented profile, with knowledge of data extraction, analysis, and visualization tools in a corporate environment.
- Agile mindset, promoting collaboration, autonomy, transparency, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Investigative, proactive, and challenge-driven profile.
- Experience in activities related to cash management, treasury, cash on hand, and cash equivalents is desirable, whether in accounting, finance, or branch treasury departments.
