About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform accounting reconciliations and journal entries for cooperatives affiliated with Sicredi, ensuring quality and timeliness.
- Support processes related to the month-end close between the 1st and 5th business days of the month.
- Generate accounting data to support decision-making in collaboration with product and business teams.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Support the collection of information for the preparation of Notes to the Financial Statements.
- Take ownership and demonstrate genuine engagement, fostering a strong sense of accountability for the business while maintaining positive relationships with cooperatives and partner departments.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- Solid knowledge of accounting, with practical experience in accounting routines at financial institutions.
- Experience with accounting and reconciliation processes, including reconciliations between accounting and operational systems.
- Intermediate or advanced Excel proficiency.
- Analytical ability to interpret and apply accounting and regulatory standards, with a focus on compliance and data integrity.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills for working with cooperatives and internal departments to understand and map accounting processes.
- Data-oriented mindset, with knowledge of data extraction, analysis, and visualization tools used in corporate environments.
- Agile mindset, promoting collaboration, autonomy, transparency, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Investigative, proactive, and challenge-driven profile.
- Experience in activities related to cash management, treasury, cash operations, and cash equivalents, whether in accounting, finance, or branch treasury departments, is desirable.
