About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Contribute to the quality and reliability of accounting data, generating business insights through the use of data
Analyze general ledger accounts, identify inconsistencies, and support remediation efforts
Conduct analyses focused on data and process diagnostics, investigation, and supporting management decision-making
Navigate and query databases such as SQL/Databricks to extract and analyze relevant information
Build dashboards and analytical views for internal monitoring by the team
Provide input for the preparation of materials, reports, and data storytelling for executive forums
Monitor management-level operational indicators and OKRs, anticipating variances and proposing critical analyses
Translate business needs into structured requests before engaging the Data Team
Contribute to the enhancement of indicators, metrics, and monitoring approaches
Ensure alignment, consistency, and clarity in analyses, serving as the accounting management team's data focal point
Identify opportunities to improve processes and apply data and automation from a business perspective
Act as a bridge between the accounting business context and data analysis
Support leadership and teams in generating insights, diagnosing variances, and making decisions
Work with the management innovation agent to monitor the evolution of the Superintendence's accounting data strategy

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
Experience with accounting processes and financial information analysis
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and generate insights
Knowledge of SQL/Databricks (sufficient to write queries and perform data analyses)
Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI)
Critical perspective on processes and indicators
Proactive and solution-oriented approach
Preferably Black or Brown candidates
