About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform on-site installation of linear accelerators and imaging systems
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, service, and repair complex equipment and systems
  • Check out and approve operational quality of system equipment
  • Instruct customers in system operation and maintenance
  • Serve as company liaison with customers on administrative and technical matters
  • Provide field support for system hardware, software, PCs, networking, and wireless networking installations and upgrades
  • Demonstrate equipment operation and specifications according to Customer Acceptance Procedure
  • Advise customers on spare parts and emergency or contractual service requests
  • Advise customers about Customer Technical Bulletins
  • Record installation and upgrade work in company information systems
  • Maintain professionalism and safety according to company and customer guidelines
  • Perform parts inventory and ordering, replenish spare-parts kits, and manage consigned parts
  • Maintain technical documentation to improve installation efficiency
  • Submit field service reports, timesheets, expense reports, and other activity records
  • Complete installation documentation and update tracking data
  • Follow escalation procedures and request technical assistance when necessary

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 2-4 years related experience, or Associate's or bachelor's degree in a related program preferred
  • Knowledge of and professional experience with electronic and electro-mechanical engineering, RF energy-producing devices, and electronic cooling systems
  • Proficient use of test equipment for verification and calibration of electronic equipment
  • Basic networking skills to integrate the machine onto the customer server
  • Knowledge of and professional technical experience with PC-based systems
  • Customer-focused attitude
  • Articulate and skilled in interpersonal communication
  • Fluency in English, written and spoken
  • Experience with RF energy-producing devices and electronic cooling systems preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of networks and networking techniques preferred
  • Basic computer usage and debugging skills
  • Basic understanding of imaging systems
  • Ability to travel for 10 days followed by 4 days off throughout the year
  • Valid driver's license in the state of residence
  • No prior DUI/DWI convictions or pending DUI/DWI charges or other serious moving violations, unless prohibited by state/local law
  • Ability to work with controlled technology in accordance with US export control law
