About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Service DX (Laboratory Diagnostics) equipment in the Bowling Green, KY area
  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on Siemens Healthcare systems at customer sites with minimal supervision
  • Deliver timely and effective repairs
  • Train operators to ensure optimal system performance and customer satisfaction
  • Manage territory financial performance, including revenue generation, expense control, and inventory management
  • Manage company assets including a company car, cell phone, computer, tools, and inventory parts
  • Establish and maintain business relationships with customers and peers
  • Perform necessary administrative duties accurately
  • Work Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with variable overtime

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum high school diploma; technical associate’s degree or equivalent preferred
  • Knowledge and experience performing service, preventative maintenance and modifications on DX Equipment at customer sites with minimal supervision
  • Experience in testing, repairing and maintaining capital medical equipment
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Proficiency in the use of tools and service test equipment
  • General understanding of electricity, power supplies, and grounding
  • Ability to work individually and in an established team setting
  • Proficiency in necessary network applications and tools, including eVO, mButler, MS Office applications, Concur, and NAM Customer Service website—Engineer Tools
  • 5+ years' experience as a medical technologist or field service engineer servicing diagnostic instruments
  • Valid driver's license and ability to drive independently day and night
  • Good driving record; no prior DUI/DWI convictions or pending DUI/DWI charges or other serious moving violations unless prohibited by law
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform walking, ladder/stepstool climbing, bending, twisting, sitting, squatting, standing, high-reach, fine grasping/manipulation, and work alone
  • Excellent judgment in customer relations and company resource management
  • Strong competency in mechanics, electrical, chemistry, software technology, electronics, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems
  • Must meet applicable Vendor Credentialing requirements, which may include identification verification, criminal background checks, drug screens, immunizations, annual TB testing, and healthcare training
  • Must be able to work with controlled technology in accordance with US export control law
