About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build and own the future DX Cloud Tenant Infrastructure hosting a healthcare software platform with regulatory and certification requirements
Participate in the Site and Support Operations team and execute its leadership strategy
Own the architecture and operation of all cloud-based tenants for the infrastructure organization
Operate tenants with delegated rights and staged rollout of tenant-wide changes
Run subscription vending as an unattended pipeline and manage downstream reporting
Produce operating evidence for ISO 27001, SOC 2, and HITRUST certifications and support audits
Execute infrastructure qualification and validate tenant automation with quality and regulatory functions
Lead, train, and upskill architects and engineers on tenant build and management best practices
Report monthly tenant-service metrics, including data volumes, users, services, security posture, policy compliance, exemptions, privileged-access activity, subscriptions vended, and limit management
Train teams on proper Change Management and Demand processes for cloud tenants
Provide escalation support for major incidents impacting infrastructure services at DX sites
Manage projects and provide technical oversight for critical DX infrastructure projects
Maintain relationships with IT service owners in Global Infrastructure
Partner with Site Management Infrastructure and Onsite Support teams for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and problem reporting
Partner with global Cybersecurity teams, including Microsoft Sentinel integration and separation of build, operation, and detection duties
Deliver a tenant with a policy baseline, unattended subscription vending, no standing administrative rights, and completed first certification assessment

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
Minimum of 8-10 years of experience within IT Architecture of Cloud environments or equivalent technical and leadership role(s)
At least three years building or operating Azure governance at scale, including MS Entra, Management groups, Azure Policy, and IaC
Experience in a regulated industry where controls are assessed by independent auditors
Willingness to travel up to 20%
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills focused on translating IT to business and business to IT requirements
L3/L4 technical problem-solving capability and subject matter expertise in IT infrastructure and IT support
Effective performance in global, multi-cultural teams
Broad understanding of SHS IT strategy, IT industry standards, and the current SHS IT landscape
Deep understanding and experience in IT solution design, implementation, and troubleshooting
Solid professional judgment and problem-solving competence
Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Entra ID expertise
Experience with AWS or GCP is a plus
Complex identity federation, RBAC, and tenant-level isolation boundaries
Infrastructure as Code using HashiCorp Terraform and Bicep with pipelines and staged rollout
Network architecture including secure VPCs, tenant network isolation, private links, cross-tenant connectivity, hub and spoke topologies, private DNS, and private endpoints
Azure Policy at scale, including initiatives, exemptions, remediation, and compliance reporting
Compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2, ISO 27001, and HITRUST
Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Sentinel, and Defender for Cloud
Tenant-specific billing, cost allocation tags, and resource optimization strategies
Onboarding multiple AKS clusters to policy and identity in an Azure environment
Willingness and ability to work with controlled technology in accordance with US export control law
