About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support a client based in the Highland Park area and surrounding regions through both on-site and remote work
  • Work remotely supporting additional clients in other markets, including Austin and Houston, when not engaged with the primary client
  • Manage technology infrastructures for multiple clients across a variety of industries
  • Deploy complex solutions involving Exchange, VMware, and Windows Server
  • Coordinate internal and external resources and vendors
  • Build new network and server environments
  • Manage, maintain, and upgrade existing servers, networks, and desktops
  • Maintain healthy working relationships with multiple customers
  • Manage customer expectations and regularly communicate status updates to customer contacts
  • Understand customer business processes and goals
  • Recommend technology solutions to improve business processes or achieve customer goals
  • Solve complex technical problems, including software deployments, server and desktop hardware issues, and software problems
  • Support and maintain servers, desktops, firewalls, network equipment, software applications, backup systems, and more

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Candidates must reside in the Dallas, TX metropolitan area
  • Bachelor's degree or 2-3 years of IT management experience
  • Minimum 1 year as a network/system administrator, IT manager or IT consultant
  • Prior experience handling multiple customers at an IT consultancy or MSP a big plus
  • Knowledge of common business operating systems and applications, including Windows, Windows Server and Office
  • Solid understanding of network technology and related concepts, such as LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, SMTP, etc
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to interface professionally with customer executives and employees
  • Ability to see problems through to resolution and communicate progress and results to customers
