About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support the Finance team with the day-to-day accounting operations of the business
Assist in the preparation and submission of statutory returns, including quarterly VAT returns
Review and process purchase invoices for approval, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies
Handle and respond to sales-related inquiries from internal and external stakeholders
Reconcile tickets to Payment Service Providers with the back office
Reconcile cryptocurrency transactions and ensure proper accounting treatment
Assist in preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports
Work closely with the wider finance team, including supporting bookkeeping clerks with daily accounting tasks as needed
Complete any other task assigned by the line manager

Requirements

What you’ll need

A degree or professional qualification in Accounting, or currently in the final stages of obtaining one, will be considered as an advantage
Good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
Familiarity with VAT regulations and statutory reporting requirements
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and XERO accounting software will be considered as an advantage
Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
Good level of written and verbal communication skills in English
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
Experience working with cryptocurrency transactions or Payment Service Providers (PSPs) would be considered an advantage
