About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and directly supervise multiple store managers across a district of 8–16 stores
  • Communicate performance expectations and monitor team progress and learning
  • Provide leadership, guidance and coaching to district team members
  • Conduct regular store site visits to supervise, ensure communication and monitor operations
  • Assess talent needs and create action plans to develop or recruit staff
  • Ensure employee data accuracy and compelling onboarding experiences
  • Ensure completion of required training and education and compliance with risk-management initiatives
  • Recruit, hire, evaluate, train, develop and retain productive teams
  • Drive technology adoption and monitor execution of communication vehicles such as Voice of Customer
  • Build future leadership pipelines through coaching and succession planning
  • Maintain diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives and company culture
  • Ensure team member and customer experience and regulatory/company compliance
  • Plan and implement strategies and action plans using operational and financial reporting
  • Serve as advisor, subject matter expert and brand ambassador
  • Collaborate with Store Support Center representatives and Signet district managers
  • Promote brand, culture and performance expectations
  • Set goals, validate store execution and identify improvement opportunities
  • Coach store managers and team members to address operational and team issues
  • Participate in resolving customer and team-member complaints and T.I.P.S. calls
  • Collaborate with internal legal counsel on legal and litigation issues
  • Monitor operating and financial results against plans and budgets
  • Provide input into sales, profit and capital-budget planning
  • Identify trends, competitive threats and opportunities
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned
  • Maintain consistent regular scheduled attendance

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree required or comparable job experience
  • At least 5 years relevant experience
  • Multi-site business operations experience
  • Recent 2+ years’ experience managing a multi-site team
  • Minimum 4 years’ management experience leading a department, including hiring, developing, motivating, and directing people
  • Valid Driver’s License and proof of insurability
  • Ability to lead others to implement strategies and processes
  • Ability to understand operational and financial reports and interpret data to create improvement plans
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office and related business, technology, and communication tools
  • Advanced presentation skills for in-person and virtual training, development and engagement
  • Strong interpersonal, problem-solving and conflict-management skills
  • Ability to communicate via email, social media, video conference, telephone and text
  • Ability to travel up to 80% of the time for business purposes
  • Availability on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week
  • Ability to work independently and with teams
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Bilingual skills are a plus
  • Familiarity with Reflexis and Workday preferred
  • Diamond Council of America (DCA) certification preferred
