About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Select and directly supervise multiple store managers across a district
  • Communicate performance expectations and evaluate performance against standards
  • Provide leadership, guidance, coaching, and skill development for team members
  • Conduct regular site visits to supervise, ensure communication, monitor operations, and ensure consistency with company values and objectives
  • Assess talent needs and create action plans to develop or recruit staff
  • Ensure employee data accuracy and compelling onboarding and training plans
  • Ensure completion of required training and education for risk-management compliance
  • Recruit, hire, evaluate, train, develop, and retain productive teams
  • Drive technology adoption and monitor communication vehicles such as Voice of Customer
  • Build future-leader pipelines and succession-planning opportunities
  • Maintain diversity, equity, inclusion initiatives and culture
  • Ensure superior team-member and customer experiences and regulatory compliance
  • Plan strategies and action plans using business reporting resources
  • Implement initiatives to change behaviors and produce results
  • Interpret and implement company policies and procedures
  • Advise the district and business areas as a subject-matter expert and brand ambassador
  • Collaborate with organizational departments, Signet district managers, vendors, and business partners
  • Reinforce brand, culture, and performance expectations
  • Set goals, validate procedures and initiatives during store visits, and identify improvement opportunities
  • Coach store managers and team members to resolve operational and team issues
  • Participate in resolving customer and team-member complaints and T.I.P.S. calls
  • Collaborate with internal legal counsel on legal and litigation issues
  • Monitor operating and financial results against plans and budgets
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, Standards of Conduct, and Business Ethics
  • Provide input into sales, profit, and capital budget planning
  • Identify trends, competitive threats, and opportunities
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned
  • Maintain consistent regular scheduled attendance

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree required or comparable job experience
  • At least 5 years relevant experience
  • Multi-site business operations experience
  • Recent 2+ years’ experience managing a multi-site team
  • Minimum 4 years’ management experience leading a department, including hiring, developing, motivating, and directing people
  • Valid Driver’s License and proof of insurability
  • Ability to lead others to implement strategies and processes
  • Ability to understand operational and financial reports and interpret data to create improvement plans
  • Computer literate with advanced proficiency in MS Office and related business, technology, and communication tools
  • Advanced presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and conflict-management skills
  • Professional communication via email, social media, video conference, telephone, and text
  • Ability to travel up to 80% of the time for business purposes
  • Ability to be on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week
  • Ability to work independently and with teams
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Familiarity with Reflexis and Workday preferred
  • Bilingual skills are a plus
  • DCA certification preferred
