About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and directly supervise multiple store managers across a district of 8–16 stores
- Communicate performance expectations and evaluate team-member performance
- Provide leadership, guidance, coaching, and skill development
- Conduct regular store/site visits to supervise operations and ensure consistency with company values and objectives
- Assess talent needs and create action plans to develop or recruit staff
- Ensure accurate employee data and compelling onboarding and training plans
- Ensure completion of required training and education for risk-management compliance
- Recruit, hire, evaluate, train, develop, and retain productive teams
- Drive technology adoption and monitor communication vehicles such as Voice of Customer
- Build future-leader pipelines and succession-planning opportunities
- Maintain diversity, equity, inclusion initiatives and culture
- Ensure team-member and customer experiences comply with regulatory and company standards
- Implement company policies, initiatives, and action plans to improve results and productivity
- Advise assigned districts and business areas as a subject-matter expert and brand ambassador
- Collaborate with Store Support Center representatives and other Signet district managers
- Reinforce brand, culture, performance, visual, and marketing standards
- Set goals, validate procedures, identify opportunities, and resolve operational and team issues
- Participate in customer and team-member complaint and T.I.P.S. call resolution
- Collaborate with internal legal counsel on legal and litigation issues as appropriate
- Monitor operating and financial results against plans and budgets
- Provide input into sales, profit, and capital-budget planning
- Identify competitive threats, trends, and opportunities and implement initiatives
- Perform additional duties and projects as assigned
- Maintain consistent regular scheduled attendance
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree required or comparable job experience
- At least 5 years relevant experience
- Multi-site business operations experience
- Recent 2+ years’ experience managing a multi-site team
- Minimum 4 years’ management experience leading a department, including hiring, developing, motivating, and directing people
- Valid Driver’s License and proof of insurability
- Preference given to candidates certified by the Diamond Council of America (DCA)
- Ability to lead others and implement strategies and processes to accomplish business results
- Ability to understand operational and financial reports and interpret data to create improvement plans
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office and related business, technology, and communication tools
- Advanced presentation skills for in-person and virtual training, development, and engagement
- Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and conflict-management skills
- Professional communication via email, social media, video conference, telephone, and text
- Ability to travel up to 80% of the time for business purposes
- Availability on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week
- Ability to work independently and with teams
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Familiarity with Reflexis and Workday preferred
- Bilingual skills are a plus
