About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the design, development, testing, and optimization of embedded software solutions for connected systems
- Design, develop, test, document, and maintain embedded software applications, subsystems, and components
- Align software with system requirements, project goals, and industry standards
- Create optimized, high-performance software for resource-constrained platforms
- Support successful integration into connected products and systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, global technical communities, and research organizations
- Incorporate customer needs, market insights, and emerging technologies into engineering solutions
- Produce technical specifications, development reports, design documentation, and other project deliverables
- Support intellectual property creation and protection
- Contribute to technology roadmaps
- Provide technical coaching and mentoring to strengthen the team’s embedded software capabilities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with a focus on embedded systems
- 10 or more years of embedded software development experience
- Strong programming skills in C/C++ and Python
- Strong knowledge of embedded development concepts
- Experience developing software for resource-constrained platforms
- Experience working with IoT, smart home, connected systems, or similar technologies preferred
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical work
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across functions
- Demonstrated ability to coach or mentor other engineers
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future company sponsorship needs
