About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Hunt for new customers and engage lower-spend current customers with significant growth opportunity
  • Meet or exceed sales goals
  • Identify and develop new sales opportunities
  • Sell Signode’s complete portfolio through a consultative, solutions-driven approach
  • Manage selected underperforming existing accounts with significant upside
  • Own accounts temporarily and hand them off to the Account Manager team after unlocking growth
  • Drive wins across consumables products
  • Prepare proposals, contracts/agreements, and sales presentations
  • Support lead-generation activities and uncover new opportunities
  • Maintain a lead pipeline and forecast potential wins
  • Build networks and relationships with industry leaders
  • Maintain current sales opportunities and customer records in CRM
  • Provide insight to product management, product development, and equipment sales teams
  • Share market opportunities and competitive information for sales and marketing strategy
  • Collaborate with internal teams on account management, projects, and department initiatives
  • Coordinate with finance to establish new accounts in applicable ERP systems
  • Work with Customer Service, Regional Sales, and Inside Sales teams
  • Arrange a Time and Territory Management Plan to maximize sales efficiency
  • Participate in training and development opportunities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate’s degree in Business, Sales or similar field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • At least 3 years in sales
  • Strong experience in landing new leads and selling prospects
  • Must live in the greater Dallas, TX area
  • Willingness to travel overnight up to 70%, depending on geographical region
  • Knowledge of Signode’s products and applications to sell solutions that meet customer needs
  • Strong mechanical and manufacturing aptitude
  • Ability to use a CRM
  • Ability to read dashboards on Power BI
  • General MS Office proficiency
  • Strong technology skills
  • Social media knowledge to drive current-customer and prospect engagement
  • Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States; the company does not sponsor employment-based visas
