About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Partner with the Creative Strategist to translate research, hooks, and loose creative briefs into visual concepts, storyboards, and finished assets
  • Design and build static ad creative
  • Edit and produce short-form video and motion content for paid social
  • Work from brand guidance ranging from thin one-pagers to comprehensive brand systems and produce unmistakably on-brand creative
  • Anticipate compliance and legal scrutiny for regulated-industry review cycles, minimizing revisions and rejection risk
  • Identify opportunities to evolve brand creative expression to unlock scale and new-market growth within brand-safety guardrails
  • Review raw photography and video footage and select, crop, cut, and edit the strongest material into finished assets
  • Deliver polished, client-ready work with minimal internal revision cycles
  • Maintain visual consistency across high volumes of ad variations, formats, and platforms
  • Achieve client/compliance review readiness in 1–2 internal revision rounds or fewer
  • Produce creative that passes compliance and legal review with minimal rework
  • Balance brand safety with creative freshness and help clients pursue growth and new creative territory
  • Function as part of a two-person creative engine with the Creative Strategist
  • No live photo/video shoot direction required; focus on selecting and editing captured material
  • Strategy research, testing frameworks, and reporting belong to the Creative Strategist, not this role

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years in a hands-on creative production role — Art Director, Senior Designer, Creative Producer, or similar — with dedicated performance/paid social experience
  • A portfolio showing range across static design and video/motion editing, ideally for paid social specifically
  • Experience working within brand guidelines of varying depth and translating them into new creative applications
  • Experience in regulated or highly regulated industries such as healthcare, finance, insurance, or legal is a strong plus
  • Experience working in matrixed organizations with multiple stakeholders and layered approval processes
  • Expert-level proficiency in Figma or similar for static design and layout
  • Strong proficiency in After Effects or similar for motion graphics and video editing
  • Comfortable editing raw video/photo footage into finished assets, including selects, cuts, pacing, captions, and graphics overlays
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Premiere, and Illustrator
  • Understanding of platform-specific creative specs and best practices across Meta, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, and other paid social channels
  • Strong eye for modern performance advertising that is thumb-stopping, polished, and effective
  • Understanding of performance/paid-social fundamentals, including hooks, pacing, hierarchy, and CTAs
  • Ability to take a loose brief or visual direction and fill in gaps with sound creative judgment
  • High attention to detail; typos, brand misapplications, and spec errors do not make it to client review
  • Comfortable giving and receiving fast, iterative feedback in a deadline-driven environment
  • Thrives on speed without sacrificing polish
  • Collaborative working style and partnership with the Creative Strategist
  • Self-sufficient in production without heavy oversight
