About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Act as Functional Solution Architect for supply-chain projects implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O modules
Participate in pre-sales assessments, discovery sessions, and proof-of-concept initiatives
Conduct Business Process Analysis and Business Process Reengineering workshops
Create, finalize, and sign off on functional specifications, unit and system test scripts, and deployment plans
Own functional project activities and lead functional consultants
Review work products created by functional team members
Provide hands-on guidance in manufacturing, advanced warehousing, costing, and supply-chain management processes in D365 FSCM
Lead conference-room pilots and user-acceptance testing sessions
Establish formal issue-resolution processes for functional architecture and integration points
Collaborate with the Project Manager to create functional backlogs in DevOps and support sprint and iteration planning
Serve as escalation point for functional design issues
Improve implementation methodology and establish implementation and training best practices
Train and disseminate information to the F&O team
Research changes in the D365 ecosystem and recommend implementation adaptations with the PMO
Travel to client locations as business and client needs dictate
Articulate architectural differences between solution methods and integration challenges
Provide leadership in consulting and client management
Form and lead virtual teams across matrix organizations
Solve complex problems with creative solutions
Mentor junior consultants on best practices and approaches

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Information Systems or related field
10+ years of experience architecting complex supply chain solutions using D365 FO
Project experience in assessment and analysis, business-case design, envisioning, planning, and deployment of D365 solutions
Ability to translate business and functional analyst requirements into solution architecture
Ability to integrate with the overall client test plan
Hands-on experience with multi-phase, multi-country, enterprise-wide implementations
Experience integrating with multiple third-party solutions
Proven record of delivering information-systems business value at an executive level
Ability to serve as a trusted voice in decision-making
Working knowledge of ISV solutions
Ability to work from high-level architectural review and design through all phases of application delivery
Strong working knowledge of Agile and/or Scrum-based implementations
Confidence presenting to internal and external groups
Microsoft D365 Solution Architect certifications
Flexibility to travel as client and business needs dictate
MS D365 SCM certification highly desired
