About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead end-to-end delivery of Application Management Services for enterprise applications, including SAP
- Oversee monitoring, maintenance, optimization, performance, and stability of applications while minimizing downtime
- Ensure applications support manufacturing processes such as production, supply chain, inventory management, and logistics
- Oversee integration, deployment, and optimization of SAP, non-SAP, and cloud-based technologies
- Identify and implement SAP enhancements, digitalization, automation, AI, and machine-learning initiatives
- Serve as primary contact for senior client stakeholders, including director-level and C-suite executives
- Establish client relationships and align application services with evolving business objectives
- Lead client service reviews covering issues, performance, future requirements, and transformation opportunities
- Identify and drive new business opportunities within existing accounts through service expansion, upselling, and cross-selling
- Develop proposals and solutions for new client needs
- Own AMS engagement financials, including budgets, costs, resource allocations, profitability, and P&L
- Lead SAP-focused pursuits from RFP responses through proposal submission and contract negotiation
- Collaborate with sales, pre-sales, technical, and delivery teams
- Lead innovation sessions and digital transformation strategies involving SAP and advanced technologies
- Manage consultants, application experts, and analysts; allocate resources and provide mentorship, coaching, and feedback
- Optimize processes and workflows for application performance, security, and user experience
- Monitor service delivery against SAP AMS best practices
- Track and report KPIs including SLA adherence, cost efficiency, customer satisfaction, service health, and financial performance
- Address service performance gaps and identify continuous-improvement opportunities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 10–15 years in application management
- At least 5 years in a leadership or management role focused on SAP and overall enterprise applications
- Experience managing SAP environments, including S/4HANA, SAP Fiori, SAP Cloud Platform, and other key SAP technologies
- Strong background managing enterprise applications in manufacturing environments
- Deep understanding of production, supply chain, inventory, and logistics business processes
- Proven experience leading AMS teams
- Experience with financial management of accounts
- Experience driving profitability and growth through upselling and cross-selling application services
- Deep knowledge of SAP solutions
- Familiarity with cloud technologies and their integration with SAP
- Strong understanding of ITIL frameworks, service management, and application performance monitoring
- Ability to translate business needs into SAP and other application solutions
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent client-facing skills, including C-suite relationship management
- Strategic thinking and ability to balance business requirements with technological innovation
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities in high-pressure environments
- SAP, ITIL, and project management certifications are preferred
- Prior manufacturing industry experience is preferred
