About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide technical leadership across SAP S/4HANA Brownfield Migration, implementation, upgrade, migration, and support projects
Partner with business stakeholders, functional consultants, architects, and development teams to design and deliver scalable SAP solutions
Serve as primary technical authority for SAP development, integrations, custom enhancements, data migration, and technical architecture
Lead onsite and offshore teams while ensuring SAP best practices, quality standards, and delivery commitments
Lead technical design, architecture, development, and solution delivery
Define technical standards, development frameworks, and best practices
Translate functional requirements into technical solution designs
Oversee custom developments, enhancements, reports, interfaces, forms, workflows, and conversions
Manage SAP and non-SAP integrations using APIs, middleware, IDocs, OData, web services, and cloud integration technologies
Conduct code reviews and troubleshoot complex technical issues
Lead technical conversion activities, custom code remediation, integration redesign, and technical readiness assessments
Collaborate on data extraction, conversion, validation, and reconciliation
Participate in cutover planning, mock conversions, dress rehearsals, and go-live activities
Lead technical workstreams from initiation through deployment and support
Develop estimates, project plans, and resource requirements
Monitor progress, risks, issues, dependencies, milestones, budget, and delivery status
Provide technical status updates to project leadership and stakeholders
Mentor SAP technical consultants and developers and support knowledge transfer and training
Coordinate onsite, offshore, and vendor teams
Provide technical leadership for production support and AMS engagements
Drive root cause analysis, issue resolution, optimization, automation, performance tuning, and system stability initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need

2–3 prior SAP S/4HANA Brownfield migrations
Hands-on ABAP skills
Hands-on code remediation experience
Ability to lead and work with demanding customer stakeholders
Strong organization, documentation, planning, and hands-on technical leadership skills
10–15+ years of SAP technical experience
6–8+ years leading SAP technical teams or workstreams
Proven SAP implementation, migration, or transformation project delivery experience
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Experience with global delivery environments involving onsite and offshore teams
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, ABAP/OO ABAP, Fiori/UI5, SAP Gateway, CDS Views, AMDP, OData Services, Workflow, Enhancement Framework, BAdIs, User Exits, SmartForms, and Adobe Forms
SAP BTP Integration Suite, CPI, REST APIs, SOAP Web Services, IDocs, RFCs, SAP PI/PO, and event-driven integrations
SAP Migration Cockpit, SAP Data Services (BODS), data validation and reconciliation, data conversion and cutover activities, and master and transactional data migration
SAP BTP, SAP Build, BAS, SAP AI and automation tools, and cloud integrations and extensibility
Preferred: SAP BTP certification, SAP ABAP Development certification, SAP Fiori/UI5 development, Agile/Scrum, presales activities, solution estimates, and proposals
Strongly preferred PMMO (Project Manufacturing Management & Optimization) experience
