About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build and evolve the client's Endpoint Software Management platform
Shape technical architecture and deliver secure, reliable software in C#, WPF, and .NET
Design, build, test, and maintain production software focused on reliability, security, performance, and maintainability
Evaluate architectural tradeoffs, define interfaces and patterns, document decisions, and evolve the platform
Deliver product capabilities from refinement and estimation through implementation, code review, automated testing, deployment support, and post-release learning
Diagnose and resolve complex defects and production issues across application code, services, integrations, data flows, and Windows endpoint environments
Improve engineering quality through clear code, reviews, automated testing, observability, secure development, and source control
Collaborate with and mentor engineers through design reviews, pairing, context sharing, and implementation guidance
Use AI-assisted engineering and agentic workflows while protecting code quality, security, governance, and release reliability
Contribute to AidenVision, AidenStudio, Aiden Policy Editor, and other Aiden software
Ensure software capabilities ship predictably and meet standards for correctness, security, performance, supportability, and rollback readiness

Requirements

What you’ll need

7+ years of professional software development experience
Substantial hands-on experience building and supporting production applications in C#, WPF, and .NET
Direct experience building Windows deployment software or application deployment software for Windows
Hands-on experience setting up and troubleshooting DHCP, PXE, proxy servers, and CDNs
Strong understanding of software architecture, object-oriented design, APIs, asynchronous processing, data access, integration patterns, and maintainable application design
Ability to take complex features from ambiguous requirements through technical design, implementation, testing, release, and production support
Experience diagnosing software problems using logs, metrics, traces, debuggers, profilers, and root-cause analysis
Experience with unit, integration, and automated testing; code review; source control; CI/CD; and reliable release practices
Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL, including data modeling, query performance, and application-level data access
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience working in Agile / Scrum teams and with Azure DevOps, GitHub, or similar systems
Comfort operating in a smaller, high-accountability growth company
Preferred: experience with BIOS, partitioning, Windows Registry, Windows PE, and system-level architectures
Preferred: experience with enterprise SaaS, endpoint management, Windows-based systems, cybersecurity products, IT operations software, or automation platforms
Preferred: experience with Windows internals, PowerShell, Microsoft cloud technologies, endpoint administration, or distributed-device software
Preferred: experience building application deployment software for MacOS
Preferred: experience with cloud services, distributed systems, messaging, REST APIs, authentication and authorization, third-party integrations, or high-volume job orchestration
Preferred: experience using AI-assisted development tools, agentic workflows, or AI-enabled testing
Some understanding of SQL
Excellent grasp of .NET, C#, and design patterns
Some front-end framework experience is a bonus
Good understanding of SDLC
Understanding of scale
Ability to answer why questions
Power BI experience, including connecting data from Excel, SQL, and the cloud; Power Query; dashboards; and report sharing
Building images experience, including OS setup, custom software, Sysprep, and MDT or SCCM deployment
Microsoft Intune experience, including device enrollment, policy setup, app management, and compliance checks
