About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee multiple complex emergency services technical projects and initiatives driving product development and technical innovation
- Lead and coordinate projects supporting 911, NG911, public safety, telecommunications, or emergency services programs
- Deliver complex technical programs within scope, schedule, and budget
- Develop and maintain program plans covering timelines, milestones, resources, and dependencies
- Identify, track, and mitigate program risks and issues, escalating when necessary
- Facilitate collaboration among network planning, product management, network operations centers, and other teams
- Monitor and report program progress, metrics, and status to senior leadership and stakeholders
- Drive continuous improvement of program management processes within the engineering organization
- Support capacity planning, resource allocation, and prioritization across emergency services projects
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience
- Strong understanding of E911 and Next Generation 911 (NG911) technologies and services
- Knowledge of ESINets, SIP-based communications, call routing, emergency call delivery, and related telecommunications infrastructure
- Familiarity with NENA standards, FCC regulations, and public safety industry best practices
- Understanding of carrier, CLEC, ILEC, wireless, VoIP, call flows, and emergency services environments
- Ability to interpret technical documentation and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with technical and non-technical teams
- Experience with program management tools such as MS Project, Click Up, or similar
- Ability to manage competing priorities and lead through influence in a fast-paced environment
